BECOMING A MEMBER

Should you wish to make Westminster Chapel your home church, we recommend that you become a member.

Why membership?
The answer is simple: the leaders of the church need to know who they are looking after. God holds leaders to account for those in their care (Hebrews 13:17) and membership enables us to better fulfil this responsibility.

The benefits of membership
There are a number of benefits of becoming a member – the most obvious is that you can receive pastoral care from the church leadership. Additionally, it provides you with the opportunity to serve in various aspects of church life; for example, serving in relation to worship, children, CityLifeGroups, hosting, hospitality, or many of the other things that we are involved with. Serving on such teams provides you with a deeper sense of belonging and enables you to better catch God’s heart for our church.

The responsibilities of membership
Becoming a member brings a sense of ownership to what we are seeking to do together at Westminster Chapel and, if you become a member, it would be important that you are committed to:

How do I become a member?
Firstly, sign-up to attend the next Belonging Course. This course enables you to find out more about us and what we believe, as well as give you the chance to have your questions answered.

Then, should you wish to continue into membership, you will be invited to have an informal meeting with one of our leaders.

If you would like to register for the Belonging Course, please contact Beryl Grogan via the form on the left of this page.
