MISSION
Our mission is to be a Spirit-filled, multi-ethnic, Gospel-centred community with a prophetic voice to the Church and the world, that introduces people to life-transforming encounters with God.
VISION
(1) To Exalt the LORD – By honouring the Triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and His created purpose for us, through Spirit-inspired prayer, preaching, worship, and the ministry of lives totally surrendered to Him.
(2) To Experience the Spirit – By being a place where the Holy Spirit and His gifts are truly honoured and where amazing signs, wonders, and healings become the norm as God’s love is revealed among us.
(3) To Equip the Saints – We will identify, train and release God’s people into their gifts, calling and destiny, so that they will serve God’s world and His church, everywhere.
(4) To Enthral the World – By modelling a dynamic expression of authentic church and community life that will attract many people who have never fully experienced this before.
(5) To Expand our Size – We are believing God for a church of thousands of adults and children who have all repented, believed, been baptised, empowered by God and made fully alive in Christ.
(6) To Extend the Kingdom – We are a city-church, planted and sustained by God for the sake of the city and beyond. We will launch many trajectories of apostolic mission and church-planting that will contribute to social and community transformation.
VALUES
1. TRUTH: The church we see honours the whole of God’s Word as unchanging Truth. The Bible is always relevant, but we must engage with our culture and communicate its total truth about creation, salvation humanity, community, relationships, God’s transcendence and His reality, in ways that really connect.
2. EXCELLENCE: The church we see is known for its excellence in all that it does. In serving God and building up His people, it moves in more than merely maintenance mode by sacrificially giving its time, energy and money to achieve the best for God’s kingdom.
3. TEAM WORK: The church we see has a leadership team and membership pulling in the same direction. It relates well to Ephesians 4 ministries designed to foster interdependence, maturity, stability and unity. It equips and mentors others so that everyone looks out for the interests of others and believes that no part of the body is dispensable.
4. WORSHIP AND PRAYER: The church we see is on fire for God and passionate for His glory. Meetings are consistently marked by exuberant praise, rich encounters with God’s manifest presence, thankfulness and genuine expressions of our total dependence on God for His guidance and aid.
5. SPIRITUAL LIFE: The church we see consciously draws on the Holy Spirit’s power. It is so God-conscious and God-focused as God heals, speaks and moves among us supernaturally today, that it will be hard to explain, and even harder to explain away. Walking with God and alive with hope, it is full of laughter and joy in the Holy Spirit.
6. GRACE: The church we see walks in acceptance and love of others, displaying total forgiveness for wrongs, and care for one another. It shuns legalism and spreads life. It is concerned for the poor and is known for its wisdom in helping people of all backgrounds to experience God’s restoring love as they are set free to be themselves under God.
7. RELATIONSHIPS: The church we see is highly relational and not just ‘religious’. It feels like family, experiencing true friendship and fostering deep unity through meals together, Sunday celebrations, small-group meetings and outreach with other gospel-centred churches across the city.
8. MISSION: The church we see has multiple ministries committed to reaching our community. It is a truly missional church that is burdened to reach whole families, neighbourhoods, cities and regions with the gospel, and to redeem key spheres like social services, government, education, law-enforcement, businesses and commerce for God.
